About Me
My
Story
Kim Lovejoy
Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Breathwork Facilitator, Retreat Coordinator, Coach, Consultant, Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
I have a deep love for exploration, discovery, curiosity and travel. It has always been an honor to cross paths with other travelers on this journey of life, and I respect the reciprocal impact that we all have on one another.
Through my own healing journey, I have gained a deep understanding of the innate wisdom and messages of my body and soul. As an empath/ high sensitive, I spent much of my life feeling overwhelmed and a bit (or a lot) disconnected from myself and the world around me. I didn't trust my body for many years because it felt like an overwhelming place to be.
I believe I was initially drawn to the study of psychology, somatic experiencing, breathwork and plant medicine to better understand my own experiences. This has evolved into a life-long journey of becoming embodied, deepening my self-love, and letting go of what no longer serves me so I can live the life of my dreams.
My education is in Clinical Social Work and I have held a variety of positions supporting others in the mental health field since 2003. In 2015 I began specializing more in body-based healing, with a deep respect for the nervous system and the wisdom our bodies hold. I further studied and received certificates through Somatic Experiencing International, Firefly Yoga International, and most recently in Conscious Connected Breathwork. These modalities have deeply influenced my work in supporting the body to release stress and overwhelm that has been held in the nervous system.
In my personal time I enjoy walking barefoot in nature, capturing memories through photography, hiking with my partner and our dog, cooking nourishing food, snuggling with my cat, and scream/singing on the open road. I am passionate about my continual journey of deepening my own wellness and have been opening myself up to higher levels of consciousness through meditation, breathwork, energy healing and numerous other modalities. I enjoy learning about the healing properties of crystals, stones, essential oils and other plant medicine, and I love to connect with Spirit by looking for signs, symbols and synchronicities.
I don't mind being considered a bit "woo-woo" (in fact, I think that's where the magic happens). A friend recently said to me: "you are finally coming out of the lightworker closet!", and it appears to be so.
The Warrior of the Light is a believer.
Because he believes in miracles,
miracles begin to happen.
Because he is sure that his thoughts can change his life,
his life begins to change.
Because he is certain that he will find love, love appears.
